SPAD 7 3-VIEW DRAWING
This 3-view drawing is reproduced here from the Harleyford publication Fighter Aircraft of World War 1.  The Spad 7 brought the Allies level with German fighter aircraft development.  It was one of the sturdiest fighters of the war and continued to be built and used by Allied pilots well beyond the normal period of an aircraft's life.  In fact, it was preferred by many pilots over the more powerful but less manueverable Spad 13.  It was one of the French built aircraft which was not licensed to Italian manufacturers.

THE MODEL TO BE BUILT
The model to be built is the Spad 7 S.2489 flown by Sototenente Luigi Olivari of the 91a Squadriglia, the "squadron of aces".   Olivari did not survice the war but managed to officially claim 12 victories, three Silver and two Bronze medals.  Consult  the  bibliography below.

Sototenente Luigi Olivari from Osprey Aces No.89, The Italian Aces of World War I.  He appears to be seated in a Nieuport 11 probably built by Maachi.
