Well, I'm waiting for all of the 1:48 scale aerodrome equipment, tents, structures, vehicles, work benches, and personnel so I can build a decent looking aerodrome vignette against which my airplanes can be photographed and displayed. There are a smidgeon of mechanic, fitters, armament specialists, pilots, commanders, and the like but where are the other paraphernalia? I'm especially interested in lorries and staff cars with an occasional motor bike. We need ladders, tool boxes, spare parts, and that sort of thing. I see that there are some of "this" and some of "that" but nothing that covers the gap in our collections. There are a few European manufacturers but none of our "hobby" distributors carry them. Love to see a kit of a Bessonneau hanger. Maybe the manufacturer can stuff a dual Fokker set in it.
The second gripe is not having enough two-seat army cooperation aircraft, especially the German types that performed all of the work during the war while the fighter pilots racked up personal tallies amongst each other. How about better observer cockpit detail? Perhaps a decent wireless set, bomb rack, photographic camera installation? We're getting a little inundated with fighter combo kits. How about a Paul Schmidt combo kit? or a Hannover CL.III/IIIa combo kit?
I'm not quite done. There's the problem of airfield defense. So, we need anti-aircraft guns, machine guns, trucks, emplacements, and crew. Don't forget the search lights, the operation hut, and the aerodrome guards. Let's get this part of the WW1 1:48 scale hobby put to bed. Can they be released starting in March?
