Historex kit HXH016 models a French Horse Artillery gunner and the kit includes parts to make one of any of the uniform variations documented during the period of the French Revolutionary Wars.  The dark "bleu nationale" uniform is decorated in red.   A decree of 17 April 1792 established the Canonniers cheval (horse artillery) as seven independent companies.  On 5 July 1793, the horse artillery was re-organized as and renamed as the 1st through 7th Artillery cheval Regiments each with six companies.  None of the regiments served in the field as such.  Rather, the individual companies were assigned to armies as needed.

CONVERSION KITS - this kit includes two pairs of arms, 2 pairs of legs (one full dress with Hungarian boots and another in field dress trousers), and three types of head dress: helmet, mirlton, and shako.  This Gunner is mounted.
